Welcome to my primary channel for publishing things about ambience, in aural and visual means. Bringing the background in front - or in other words, observing and listening to what is not usually paid attention to in everyday objects and sound sources - is an interesting and inspiring subject for me, and also the meaning of the website's title.

This website is also home for my ambient music series called Headroom. Through the series I aim to create a musical presentation of certain themes, atmospheres, happenings or moods by using sound textures, field recoding and slow-paced melodies, without actual drum beats. A single Headroom part (runtime 60 minutes in average) consists of multiple sections created exclusively for it. They sound different, but are mixed together with long transitions and share the common theme of that part.
